1. Clean the charging port and charger port
Dust or oxidation on the charging port can be the culprit for poor charging. I've tried it myself; gently wiping the metal contacts at the bottom of the e-cigarette and the charger port with a cotton swab removes hidden dirt and oxides, and the charging problem is solved. Remember to be careful and don't miss any corners.
2. Check the cartridge and condensation
Condensation at the bottom of the cartridge can also cause problems. Once I found condensation at the bottom of a cartridge; wiping it with a tissue made it clean, and charging was much smoother. If you encounter a similar situation, you might want to try this method. Of course, replacing the cartridge is also a good option for troubleshooting.
3. Reset the circuit protection mechanism
Sometimes, the device will enter a protection state due to minor malfunctions. Following online instructions, I quickly and repeatedly inserted and removed the e-cigarette cartridge about ten times, and it actually triggered the device to vibrate, resetting the circuit protection mechanism, and the problem was solved. However, remember to be gentle during this process to avoid damaging the device.
4. Replacing the Charger and Cable
Charger or cable failures are common. After replacing my charging cable, the charging problem was solved. So, if your RELX won't charge, try replacing the charger or cable first; it might be that simple.
5. Restarting the E-cigarette and Contacting Customer Service
If the above methods don't work, the problem might be with the internal circuitry of the e-cigarette. In this case, restarting the e-cigarette is a good option. Insert the e-cigarette into the charger, press and hold the power button, then press the reset button; this might fix the charging problem. If it still doesn't work, you'll have to contact RELX customer service or a professional repair technician-they are professionals!
